Florida's Commissioner of Agriculture, Wilton Simpson, recognized the life and
legacy of Tommy Bronson during a regular City Council Meeting. Wilson Simpson
presented a flag flown over Florida's State Capital on September 5, 2024, to
honor Bronson's life and legacy. Bronson, born on August 13, 1936, was an
outstanding husband, father, grandfather, businessman, and community leader.
Born in Gainesville, Florida, he was a standout athlete and academic, earning a
Business Administration and Finance degree from the University of Tennessee.
After college, he served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving with the
Second Infantry Division from 1958 to 1960. The State of Florida is grateful
for Bronson's life of integrity and selfless service.
